Family Medicine:

Our doctors are able to provide comprehensive and continued health care for individuals and families across all ages, genders, diseases and parts of the body. Our doctors diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions and health issues for you and your family. Our practice will contact you for health promotional activities that are either for preventive health management or for improving your overall health and wealthbeing.

Chronic Disease Management:

The process of chronic disease management starts with GP’s conducting health checks, looking at the patient's circumstances to find out what health conditions need to be addressed while trying to stop the onset of a disease.

Health assessments provide a structured approach when trying to determine what care is needed for the patient. This information is crucial when determining the way forward as patients these days have more than one doctor and information can sometimes be scattered.

Our doctors can care for patients with chronic or terminal medical conditions like:

  • asthma
  • cancer
  • cardiovascular disease
  • diabetes
  • kidney disease
  • musculoskeletal conditions
  • stroke

GP Management plan offers a structured plan including attainable goals for the patient, services needed and actions to manage their condition and Team Care Arrangement provides patients with access to allied health services relevant to the patient’s condition and entitles the patient to five visits with allied health providers in a 12 month period.

Immunisation and Vaccines:

  • Vaccination is when your child gets a vaccine and immunisation is the process of them becoming immune after getting a vaccination.
  • Our practice can provide some vaccines for free to babies and children under the National Immunisation Program
  • Immunisation protects you, your child and our community from serious diseases
  • We will send you a reminder when your child’s next vaccination is due.

Antenatal Shared Care:

GP ANSC, Antenatal Shared Care program promotes continuity of care through sharing clinical responsibility for pregnant women between a general practitioner and the hospital-based services under defined guidelines and protocols.

Antenatal Shared Care is provided by some of our GP's and it's an option offered to all women assessed as being low risk and suitable for shared care.

The program aims to:

  • provide pregnant women with flexibility, choice and continuity of care
  • cater for the preferences and needs of women from a range of cultural and diverse backgrounds
  • promote communication between GPs and the participating hospitals.

Workers Compensation:

If injured at work in NSW, you may be entitled to a range of workers compensation benefits. Our General Practitioners (GPs) can conduct work cover assessments and management for you.. You will require a standard appointment with one of our GPs to assess your accident and injury. This appointment will incur a private out-of-pocket fee for the patient. Some consultation invoices will be paid by you to claim directly back from your employer or insurer.

To ensure continuity of care, you must continue to visit your usual GP for your initial worker’s compensation appointment and any ongoing review of your worker’s compensation claim.

Mental Health:

Mental health is a state of mental well-being that enables people to cope with the stresses of life, realize their abilities, learn well and work well, and contribute to their community. It has intrinsic and instrumental value and is integral to our well-being.

Your GP is often a good place to start for most mental health conditions. Doctors can provide treatment or refer you to other services for mental health.

It is important to talk about your mental health, but it can be difficult. It is important to be honest with your doctor about your feelings and behaviour so that they can give you the best treatment.

Tell your doctor:

  • your symptoms, thoughts and how you feel
  • any circumstances that may be relevant to your mental health
  • your concerns (including privacy concerns)
  • how what you feel has affected your life.

You may be required to be immunised against Yellow Fever if you are travelling to certain parts of South America. You may also be required to have a yellow fever vaccination if you are travelling to parts of Middle Africa.
